Trucker Hat The burly man in the too-tight T-shirt smelled of stale beer and acrid sweat as he cut the steering wheel of his Mack truck and delivered us safely to the gas station. We would never forget his generosity, his bulging arms, or the stylish design of his wrinkled, faded hat. We designed our Powell's trucker hat in honor of the gallant knight on eighteen wheels who rescued us so long ago.

Baseball Cap So authentic-looking it should be sepia-toned, our baseball cap is the exact design worn by the Powell's Old-Timey Baseball League, which played in our store from 1918 until a little later in 1918, to the delight of sports fans and the outrage of shoppers. We doff our hats to these legends of the bookstore diamond.

Knit cap: Gray The delicate knit rests on our weary scalps like a soft cloud nestled about the peak of a majestic mountaintop. The foggy gray reminds us of the cloud-filled skies we enjoyed so long ago, in that daisy-strewn field, before they dumped a torrent of rain upon our fleeing heads — safe, for now, in our knit gray Powell's caps.

Knit cap: Pink Restless ocean rocking to and fro, we struggled to keep our balance as our vessel chugged deeper into the thickening fog. We began to fear ourselves lost for good. Then we spotted the pink beacon, American-made and sweatshop-free, and we knew land was close. And it looked terrific, and it was soft and warm.
